THE POSITIONDo you want your clerical work to support an agency that promotes opportunities for persons with mental and intellectual disabilities? Apply for this Clerk 2 position with Luzerne County Mental Health & Developmental Services (MHDS). Join our office team and help our professional providers ensure that all people can have the support they need to participate in valued experiences and important life events! DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will be responsible for varied clerical assignments within the MHDS Department. This includes answering, screening, and transferring phone calls to appropriate staff, as well as forwarding office phone lines to and from the after-hours answering service. You will also conduct a courthouse interoffice mail run on a rotation basis and receive, process, and distribute daily postal and interoffice mail. This position also operates a standard office equipment including a postage machine, scanner, and photocopier. Additionally, you will file documents and facilitate the inventory process to ensure meticulous accounting of all received promotional items, while adhering to office standards. Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Clerk 1 and educational development to the level of the eighth grade;or

Completion of a high school business curriculum;or

Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges and abilities.
