Client Facing Solution Owner Job Description Long Term Client Facing Solution Owner is a senior business and technology leader, responsible for stakeholder relationship management, vendor & partner management, and solution leadership. A Client Facing Solution Owner advises and collaborates with business line leadership teams to provide technology expertise, strategy and solutions that drive value and support the overarching business strategy of ABM. In addition to demonstrating business and technology acumen, a Client Facing Solution Owner leads transformational change and advocates technology solutions that grow revenue and profit, as well as reduce cost. A Client Facing Solution Owner is accountable for all technology solutions within their scope of responsibility. A Client Facing Solution Owner must be proficient in different leadership scenarios: an independent leader using influence, a team leader leveraging direct control, and a cross-functional leader managing upward and across peer groups. Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate understanding through verbal and written communications of the strategic imperatives, business capabilities, operating model and technology needs of assigned Industry Group (e.g., service lines) Aviation, Parking, B&I, Education, T&M, and ATS and/or geographies / regions.
  • Partner with appropriate stakeholders to formulate, evolve and implement technology and information programs that will contribute to future revenue and profit growth, client satisfaction, competitive positioning and operational effectiveness
  • Understand the technologies in use by Industry Group and landscape of these solutions; how they are being used, for which clients, and value proposition, with an emphasis on consolidation, lowering total cost of ownership and reducing technical debt (multiple solutions for same need).
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and relationships focused on providing technology solutions related to the industry. These would include established solution providers and vendors with a specific focus of developing capabilities that would create value for ABM and lower total cost of ownership (standardizing solutions across Industry Groups).
  • Facilitate the management, planning, piloting, and governance of technology demand prioritization within assigned business areas so that delivery is coordinated and optimized
  • Lead through uncertainty, leveraging iterative and agile principals to guide our colleagues to identify and test key decision points that are critical to delivering the intended business outcomes.
  • Identify ways to adapt and reuse existing solutions to solve new problems, to create new products and to provide new services
  • Help extend service delivery processes, technology, and information solutions across Industry Groups in support of improved client satisfaction and data integrity.
  • Coordinate planning and active communication with key stakeholders and business leaders
  • Craft, clarify or and/or articulate business cases for proposed solutions and workflows
  • Ensure change management and adoption strategies and plans are in place
  • Demonstrate the right level of functional and subject matter expertise for all solutions deployed in own Industry Group and/or region
  • Work with stakeholders and third-party partners to design products by identifying requirements and thinking critically about what will make it successful
  • Work with business development teams to win new clients by responding to client bids, developing pricing models, pitching technology solutions, demoing products & prototypes
  • Implement and manage the governance to ensure effective compliance, reporting and communication expectations are being met
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the factors that generate value for ABM, including product and service offerings, operating model, business processes, supporting information and technology, and opportunities to address unmet client needs
Knowledge and Skills
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of all stages of project and program lifecycle, including development of business cases and mobilization through value realization and steady-state
  • Experience with different project management and development methodologies (waterfall, agile, hybrids) and understanding the issues and concerns that favour a particular delivery approach
  • Lead and direct many different roles on software development teams, including Project Manager, Scrum Master, Quality Analyst, Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, and Developers
  • Experience working with stakeholders to help them understand Industry Group requirements, how to perform as a Product Owner and/or an Executive Sponsor, and building and managing product backlog
  • Must be able to work on both tactical solutions, as well as on long-term ideas which can potentially open the business up for new customers, usage occasions and channels
  • Experience with delivering large and/or complex programs
  • Skills and experiences in developing high-performing, cross-discipline teams
  • Strong general and situational leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to execute as well as consult / advise

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience in technology or business management positions
  • Demonstrated success managing stakeholders, customer and/or clients
