Are you living your life's work?Clinical Engineering Field Service EngineerIn this role, you are responsible to provide Clinical Engineering technical and process improvement expertise to support multiple Penn Medicine clinical locations as a field service resource. This position will be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment; generate electronic service reports; provide RTLS/RFID expertise to track assets, monitor temperature, humidity, pressure, etc. and meet with leadership to provide insight on program, adhere to state and federal regulatory requirements and meet Penn Medicine standards of performance.Accountabilities:Build credibility and trust with customers and team members by understanding, prioritizing and escalating needs, conducting pro-active regular customer/site visits and providing regular documented communications regarding status of assets and equipment.

Adopt, develop, educate, implement and socialize best practices with all levels of staff and management.

This should include seeking out opportunities to increase capability, capacity and initiating and/or participating in process improvement initiatives.

Manage company assets effectively in accordance with established Penn Medicine processes while meeting required State and Federal regulatory requirements. Adhere to established training, quality, and safety requirements.

Perform all administrative duties within established Penn Medicine and regulatory timeframes including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, service orders, preventative maintenance, installation documents, site and service documentation, and other related paperwork.

Independently resolve equipment and customer issues, completes PMs, FCOs, installations and diagnoses and resolves electronic, network, and mechanical problems.

Perform quality assurance inspections and maintain service and calibration documentation in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer recommendations.

Provide equipment planning and pre-purchase evaluations of new equipment to site and Clinical engineering management.

Activate, configure, test, install and educate staff on the RTLS/RFID Aeroscout Asset and Temperature Monitoring System.

Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures

Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Required Education and Experience:Associate's Degree is required (Electronics preferred)

Bachelor's Degree is preferred (Electronics of Project Management preferred)

At least 3 years of experience supporting Biomedical Equipment, Field Service preferred

Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:Have and maintain a valid driver’s license

Required Skills:Understand and utilize technical vocabulary to perform tasks according to either verbal or written instructions.

Ability to adapt to changing work requirements in a complex, fast pace environment.

Working technical knowledge of Computer hardware, networking and software.

Strong organizational skills, self-disciplined, and the ability to work independently.

Ability to read and interpret schematics and site drawings.

Proficient use of general MS Office software and operational software (i.e. asset management, RTLS)
