Established custom manufacturing company is seeking experienced CNC Machinists
POSITION SUMMARY
Interpret drawings, perform CNC programming, perform set-ups and perform CNC machining on CNC mills and lathes. Items to be machined consist of a variety of parts made from a variety of materials which are being produced as one-off’s or in small lots. Work with minimal supervision in a custom manufacturing job shop environment
We would expect the caliber of Machinists that we are seeking to have their own tools in the form of a well-equipped tool chest.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Effectively and efficiently interpret drawings to determine dimensional criteria, tolerances, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), sequence of operations, set-ups, fixturing, tooling, and speeds and feeds to accurately and productively perform 2 ½-axis to 3-axis CNC machining of custom parts from a variety of materials on 3-axis CNC mills and lathes.
Utilize manual programming at the machine tool and CAD/CAM, as appropriate, to effectively and efficiently develop and edit 2 ½-axis to 3-axis CNC programs for accurate and productive machining of parts from a variety of materials on CNC machine tools according to specified requirements.
Utilize CAD/CAM to efficiently and effectively import, export, interpret, and analyze specifications consisting of drawings, sketches, electronic models, or electronic design data and geometry to perform 2 ½-axis to 3-axis programming and machining of parts.
Set-up, operate, and maintain all tools, equipment and materials befitting a professional and to the requirements of the customer and the company.
Work within a procedural system to manage and utilize multiple CNC programs for multiple CNC machine tools including storage, retrieval and editing.
Communicate extensively with affected workers via written notes/instructions and/or discussions to convey detailed information accurately to enhance the continuity of the manufacturing operations and assure conformance to requirements and company objectives.
Effectively, efficiently and accurately understand quality assurance requirements and their impact on machining and manufacturing processes and the parts being produced.
Assure conformance of tasks, processes and product to customer and/or company specifications and requirements by properly utilizing measuring instruments, measuring tools, gages and/or by any means as deemed necessary for verifying conformance as defined by the requirements.
Perform any and all other tasks required or as instructed to the benefit of the company or customer.
Assure that all work is performed in a safe and professional manner.
