Collections Specialist

Description We are seeking a Collections Specialist to join our team in the Transport industry based in MOON TWP, Pennsylvania. This role involves handling credit and collections activities related to customer portfolios, providing customer service, and making recommendations on credit limits for existing accounts. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Monitor customer portfolios continuously and execute daily collections activities Utilize various systems and networks to review documentation for invoicing disputes and process correction requests Collaborate with billing and accounting department staff on the correction of errors, such as rebills, misapplied payments, overpayments, and freight bill corrections Provide monthly summaries of portfolio collections progress and participate in monthly portfolio reviews Escalate collection issues based on customer responses and payment actions Review account activities periodically to assess the adequacy of customer limits in the light of current revenue trends Research short paid invoices with customers and work with relevant personnel to determine invoice revisions or set up necessary chargebacks Assist the accounting department in obtaining any requested customer payment remittance information relevant to assigned portfolio Use Accounting Software Systems, Accurint, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, Epic Software, Accounts Receivable (AR), Answering Inbound Calls, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, Collection Processes to perform tasks efficiently. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with Accurint Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Proficient in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software Knowledge of Epic Software Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls Experience with Billing Functions Knowledge of Claim Administration Familiarity with Collection Processes Ability to work in the transport industry Prior experience as a Collections Specialist is beneficial Excellent communication and negotiation skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities A keen eye for detail and high levels of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure Good ethical conduct and respect for confidentiality.
