Description: Perform assembly work. Prepare parts for the application of finishes for the next operation. Apply various sealants, adhesives, and primers to process parts.1. Installs metallic and non-metallic parts using fasteners, sealant or adhesive.2. Installs metallic and non-metallic parts on composite assemblies using tooling, fixtures, and shop aids.3. Mask complex configurations. Make patterns, cut and bond materials to contoured surfaces.4. Does preparation work for rework, application of primer and topcoat, and/or the next production operation.5. Mix and apply various primers and touch up of top coats in conformance with applicable specifications and requirements.6. Performs other duties as assigned.Ability to obtain necessary certifications.Ability to obtain a respirator certification.Basic Qualifications:Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.Experience using hand tools such as torque driver, hand drill, industrial hot iron, palm sander, vacuum pump and flushness gage.Must have experience or education in any of the following technical fields; Auto mechanics, Carpentry, Auto body repair, Metal fabrication, HVAC, Welding, Fabrication, Assembly, and Manufacturing.Desired Skills:Experience working in a manufacturing facility performing assembly and finishing work.Experience with tolerance surface finishing prior to coatings.Ability to miter, blend, smooth non metallic parts to meet flushness and engineering requirements.Experience to prep and apply coatings.Preferred: Three (3) years assembly experience.Experience working to military specifications.Computer skills.Clearance Level: NoneOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
