Configuration Management Analyst with State Client in State College, PA

.Net SQL based Qualification/Knowledge with: Knowledge in areas including Product Data Management, Requirements Management, Document Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, Incident Management, Systems Engineering Contributes to the completion of programs and projects The position is for an Engineer or Configuration Management (CM) Analyst having at least five years of experience in hardware engineering, systems engineering, or product configuration management. This person will work closely with the product team to understand the interrelationships within the design and be responsible for CM of both developmental and operational systems throughout the product lifecycle from new product inception, throughout product realization, to end-of-life 2-3 years in Configuration Management Systems Experience with ITIL based configuration management processes and tools Skills-set required/Responsibilities: Provide administration, maintenance, optimization, release management and technical support for end points in the production environments Provides CM (Configuration Management) process consulting services to project teams (small to large of varying complexity) Assesses and analyzes the projects technical test environment needs, exploring alternative options when conflicts arise Ensures all project team members understand and adhere to the SCM processes as identified by the SDLC & CMM Consults on physical and deployment design artefacts for small projects/ programs identifying issues to the appropriate manager Documents and refines common CM practices (check-in/check-out, merge, branch, etc) for development team Master Data responsibilities related to day-to-day activities of creating and maintaining engineering/production documentation such as engineering change notices, material masters, BOM's and routings, drawings Create specific documentation or reports as appropriate to project being implemented Testing and Configuration Be responsible for testing and configuration of SAP for Material Master, BOM's, Routings, Drawings, Document Info Records Liaise with the Head of Service, Asset and Configuration Management on population of the CMS Write SQL queries to research physical data and application related issues Develops technical configuration change steps Assists with the initial implementation and continued maintenance of networks and hardware for application hosting Leads application change projects Reviews and releases engineering change data and coordinates changes to engineering documents with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities Research and verify technical content as needed Proof and edit documents as needed Eliciting requirements through conversations with business partners
