Contract Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Project EngineerJob DescriptionJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. The candidate will serve as the mechanical engineering site advisor, overseeing the installation of a flat glass manufacturing line for automotive glass. This role requires extensive travel to customer sites near Meadville, PA. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the mechanical engineering site advisor for the installation of a flat glass manufacturing line for automotive glass. - Travel 100% of the time to customer sites near Meadville, PA. - Work daily within Excel to manage project data and documentation. - Review blueprints and CAD files to ensure designs and installations align with project specifications. - Oversee the installation of the production line and supervise the work of third-party installation contractors. - Troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise during the installation process. - Meet with customers regularly to review and set key project deadlines and milestones. - Review and interpret existing mechanical drawings, answer questions, and make decisions to coordinate with and advise the mechanical contractor regarding the preferred installation method to meet codes and the customer's expectations. - Generate and update field progress reports.Hard Skills
