THE POSITION

The Department of Corrections is seeking an energetic and well-organized person to join the Correctional Industries Central Office team as a Correctional Industries Sales and Marketing Representative! If you enjoy working as part of a productive team to set and accomplish goals, this is the job for you!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Correctional Industries Sales and Marketing Representative, you will provide customer contact from the office and in the field to promote and arrange for the sale of a variety of prison made products and services. You will meet customers, as well as manage customer inquiries. You will have an opportunity to utilize your exception communications skills when making cold calls and delivering presentations to further Correctional Industries sales.In this role, you will establish contact with officials of state-aided and owned institutions and agencies, schools, and political subdivisions to promote and arrange for sales of prison made products and services. You will also attend conventions and conferences as deemed necessary. As a Correctional Industries Sales and Marketing Representative, you will function as a liaison between customers and Correctional Industries shops and headquarters.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment (37.5-hour work week)

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60 or 65.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of professional sales experience in a manufacturing or service oriented production operation, and a bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business administration, or a closely related area; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.Special Requirement:This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.Additional Requirements:

Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirement:
