The Department of Corrections (DOC) is searching for a Corrections Health Care Administrator to ensure operational excellence by organizing, directing, planning, and managing the health care program ranging from inpatient and outpatient services to acute, skilled, postoperative, psychiatric, and diagnostic. DESCRIPTION OF WORKWorking with a dynamic team of professionals, you will be responsible for overseeing all of the activities associated with the operations of a state correctional institution (SCI) infirmary, as well as the in-patient mental health unit. Key duties of the position include supervising registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, the medical records director, and other civilian employees. In this role, you will monitor the delivery and documentation of care to inmates to ensure continuity of quality practices in a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment on a twenty-four hour basis, seven days a week. Full-time employment (37.50-hour work week)

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six years of professional medical experience in the care and treatment of the physically ill, which included three years of supervisory or administrative experience in a hospital or infirmary, and a bachelor’s degree in a health related field; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training, which included three years of supervisory or administrative experience in a hospital or infirmary.

Additional Requirements:

Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
