We have an immediate need for an Intake County Casework Supervisor to help us fulfill our mission of promoting the safety, well-being, and permanency of all children in Luzerne County through collaboration with families and the community. DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a County Casework Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall operational planning, direction, supervision and coordination of intake services. As a supervisor, you will be expected to have working knowledge of all regulatory, policy, and procedure mandates, as well as maintain statistics as outlined in the Luzerne County Children as required by monthly statistic reporting policies. In addition, you will monitor the effectiveness of services provided through statistics and log keeping, and will inform the Social Service Coordinator of service delivery issues or needs. Other job duties include frequent and regular review and analysis of case records and evaluation of staff performance and participating in planning and providing in-service training activities to meet the training needs of the workers and to disseminate new/updated regulations and policies. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 1 day per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension.
