Clearfield County Children, Youth and Family Services is actively seeking a Social Services Aide 1 to join our dedicated team. The agency acts as a catalyst for positive change to assist the family in providing a safe and permanent environment for their children. DESCRIPTION OF WORKAn employee in this position assists and receives training from professional social services personnel in providing services to children, youth, and families. Work involves scheduling, transporting and escorting clients to various appointments, foster homes, court hearings and for recreation purposes; providing basic information; contacting clients who fail to keep appointments. You will have the opportunity to assist clients and/or families with the everyday activities of living, home maintenance and care, distribution and delivery of equipment, clothing, and other belongings to clients, and supervision of children during office hours. Work also involves the performance of routine clerical duties and the maintenance and care of waiting and visiting rooms. Work is performed under the close supervision of a professional supervisor and is reviewed by observation of performance and evaluation of results. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment.

Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Graduation from high school;or

Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Legal Requirements:

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.

Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
