Dams Engineer

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Dams Engineer to join the East Region Dams Team. This position will support a variety Dam Safety Engineering projects across the East Region. The successful candidate will join the ENR consistently ranked #1 Dams and Reservoirs firm and have access to exciting career advancement opportunities. This position will report to one of the AECOM offices in the East Region including, but not limited to, Atlanta, Georgia; Buffalo, New York; Charlotte, North Carolina; Conshohocken, Pennsylvania; Franklin, Tennessee; Germantown, Maryland; Latham, New York; or Tampa, Florida. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide technical support to Project/Program Managers for projects including analyses, design, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, risk assessments, site inspections, construction observation and regulatory compliance activities associated with a variety of hydraulic structures.Assist Project/Program Managers in maintaining client relationships, contracting, project planning and execution, financial management, technical management, change management and project team management including subcontractors.Provide support to the successful delivery of dam engineering projects and programs including supporting business development and proposal preparation for new and existing clients.Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules for delivering project success including the management of resources, budgets and risk.Support the planning and management of field investigations for various hydraulic structures and embankments.Communicate with multi-disciplinary teams on various projects related to dams and other hydraulic structures.Perform quality peer reviews of other Engineer's work on deliverables such design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings and technical specifications.Flexibility and willingness to travel for project work part time as needed.Progression toward greater responsibility, including task and project management and certification as a professional engineer.
