By joining our team, you will play a key role in helping to our clients uncover hidden relationships from vast troves of data and transforming the Government and Public Services marketplace.Work you'll doThe SensingBridge team is building its next generation market research platform providing competitive intelligence, technology tracking, and trend analysis. The project has a large market opportunity across both the GPS and commercial practice.As a data science lead, you will be able to shape the approach around the end-to-end data science pipeline, including NLP, ML modeling, and GenAI techniques. Specifically, the team is working on the following projects:

Building ML models including advanced clustering algorithms for document relevancy

Developing a knowledge graph to discover connections in the data via graph search algorithms (BFS, DFS, community detection, etc.)

Building Retrieval Augmentation Generation (RAG) systems via chatbot interfaces for data retrieval and insight summarization

Shaping the overall data strategy to identify relevant data sources and evaluating integration opportunities

Partnering with other assets across the firm to reuse data capabilities

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

Comfort in establishing a vision and incepting/driving novel concepts

An ability to clearly communicate vision while managing experimentation efforts

Leading engineering teams, ideating on technical approaches, and communicating to technical and non-technical audiences

Establishing roadmap and vision within an ambiguous requirement

Leveraging LLMs and embedding models via GenAI for a variety of text-based use cases

Managing ETL and data ingestion/storage pipelines via data warehouses, graph DBs, and vector databases (i.e. Snowflake, Amazon Neptune, Airflow)

Serving federal, state, & local government clients as well as public higher education institutions, our team of over 15,000+ professionals brings fresh perspective to help clients anticipate disruption, reimagine the possible, and fulfill their mission promise.The Hybrid Solutions and Incubation (HS&I) offering leads the development of major features and implementations, including helping to design the architecture for those features. This involves coding, testing, documenting, and helping to ensure successful deployment. Reviewing pull requests from other engineers are commonplace, as are pair programming and other similar duties. Our product and technical leaders collaborate frequently with engineers and rely on them to provide insightful feedback on the process, architecture, implementation, and quality of the product. Finally, our team troubleshoots issues in a timely manner which is critical to ensuring the stability of the platform and our client implementations.QualificationsRequired:

Bachelor's degree required

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role

Travel up to 10%

7+ years of hands-on data science experience

Demonstrated experience operating in an Agile environment

Preferred:

Experience working with cross-functional teams

Experience working with geographically dispersed/remote teams
