DevOps Engineer.Position type: Contract to Hire Duration: 12+ Months Location: Pittsburgh, PAAs an DevOps Engineer you will: Description: We are looking for a motivated senior DevOps engineer. S/he will be responsible for ensuring best practices for build, test, and deployment various components in the platform, help multiple dev teams to achieve next level of maturity, and also look into monitoring, alerting, security and vulnerabilities.Candidate is expected to be operating under the guidance of Tech Lead, however is expected to be self-starter and operate with an ownership mentality and interface with other teams. Candidate must be familiar with Agile Software Delivery Practice. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA Hybrid. Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, minimum 3 years in DevOps role• Proven record in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, versioning and release automation for different type of projects, for example Java app, Java RESTful API, Angular• Some Java development background is preferred• Familiar with version control and build tools such as Git, Gitlab, Jenkins, and Maven• Supporting production services in a containerized environment using Docker• Experience in Configuration Management tools, such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet• Experience in scripting, for example Bash, Python• Familiar with Linux environments, such as RedHat• Experience in test frameworks, for example Cucumber, is a plus• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as App Dynamics, MoogSoft, Prometheus, ELK stack, is a plus• A logical thinker with demonstrably strong analytical skills• Good written and verbal communication skills, contributes to engineering wiki, and documents work• Establishes good working relationship across peers and teamsTop 3 Skills: - DevOps
