Working with the Global, National and Local Market Development Leaders, this Business Development Specialist position offers good variety of work and will see you involved in:- Supporting Market Development Leaders and pursuit teams in executing strategies and initiatives in support of national and regional business and market plans, in coordination with BGLs, Technical Leads/Subject Matter Experts and Key Client teams.
- Supporting the development of strategies to capture new business with major clients and facilitate business development programming and strategic initiatives.
- Performing the research and development of strategic development programs and capture plans for target clients and projects.
- Reviewing bid opportunities and prioritizing to the appropriate Digital practices/specialists. Recording for leadership which bids we have decided to pursue
- Supporting teams in identifying market competitors with intelligence gathering and facilitate the process of comprehensive strengths/weaknesses analyses as part of the strategic development programs and/or capture plans.
- Attending and summarizing meetings and next steps. Coordinating and involving relevant people for bids and meetings.
- Assisting on presentation development. Gathering information for proposals, pitches (perhaps editing and content writing.)
- Collaborating with Marketing to involve Digital in seminars, conferences, client events, speaking opportunities, sponsorships and charity-related events.
- Performing research of upcoming major projects and initiatives for target clients.
- Sales tracking & reporting assistance to ensure accuracy of information.
- Remaining abreast of overall proposal and backlog trends, threats, and opportunities within the area/market/team you are assigned.
- Supporting Market Leads with engagement and business development initiatives such as proposal writing/editing, tailoring sales packages, presentation development/coordination.
- Participating as a member of the business development team by sharing information and leveraging standard methodologies.
- B.S. Degree in related discipline (Business, Engineering, Technical, etc.). A combination of education, skills and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 5 years' of experience in Business Development and/or Proposal Development.
- Proven expertise in establishing and building internal relationships.
- Extensive working knowledge and experience in the capture process.
- Solid communications and organizational skills with the proven ability to prioritize at a time.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with experience working effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment to identify and capture new business.
- Experience leading major proposal efforts.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
- Business savvy with proven skills to facilitate strategic development of regional objectives and target client programming.
