The Director, Finance - Capital Investments is responsible for overseeing the planning, analysis and approval of capital expenditure projects across the organization. The director works closely with senior management, business units, and project / engineering teams to evaluate and prioritize strategic initiatives and ensure that capex projects align with the company's strategic goals, financial targets, and operational requirements. The director also monitors and reports on the performance and outcomes of capex projects and provides recommendations for improvement and optimization.Your Day to Day:

Develop and maintain a framework and methodology for evaluating capital investment projects, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, risk assessment, and return on investment.

Lead the development and implementation of the capex planning process.

Prepare and present capex project business cases and financial models to senior management and committees.

Collaborate with senior management, business units, finance, and project / engineering teams to identify, prioritize, and evaluate capex projects, based on strategic fit, financial metrics and operational impact.

Provide guidance and support to business units and finance teams on capital investment planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Oversee the tracking of capex projects, ensuring that they meet time and budget expectations.

Provide insights and recommendations for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the capex budgeting process and the capex project portfolio.

Manage and develop a network of analysts and project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration.

Manage analyst(s), providing guidance, coaching, and feedback on their work.Who You Are:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial planning & analysis and project evaluation, preferably in a large and complex organization or a consulting firm.

Strong financial and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and data analysis tools.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Flexibility and willingness to travel as required.

Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Why Westinghouse?
