Job Description

The Mission:

The mission of the US Director of Fieldwork is to lead the US Fieldwork Team. This position is responsible for optimizing team performance, project delivery, improving client satisfaction, project level KPIs and panelists experience.

The US Director of Fieldwork is also responsible for working closely with other department heads to ensure cross-department teams are working efficiently and effectively in a collaborative setting.

  • Manage and support the US fieldwork Team, delegate work, lead, train, motivate, develop, and appraise staff:
    • Provide first line support for any queries.
    • Escalate any potential issues regarding staff.
    • Conduct reviews, provide development plan and monitor KPIs.
    • Oversee workload within the team.
    • Ensure smooth handovers for any holiday coverage.
  • Work with the CPO and the HR Business Partners on ensuring the team has a high employee retention rate, by fostering an employee focus management style. This includes ensuring all team members are reviewed quarterly, clear job specs, motivating personal goals, and visibility into career progression plans.
  • Support the Sales and Operations team leaders on building strong client relationships with key accounts and support the sales process as necessary in key client meetings.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations with Sales/Management/Operation/Clients
  • Collaborate with the US Operations Directors to ensure Project Managers and Fieldwork Coordinators are working together in a unified and efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement the required processes and training programs for the US Fieldwork Team to ensure sample requirements are achieved in accordance with client’s expectations and established company targets.
  • The US Director of Fieldwork shall work alongside with the panel team to minimize panel attrition and fatigue and support the company's long-term goals of growing and maintaining the M3 panel.
  • Create, review and/or update documentation when processes and guidelines are introduced or modified.
  • Work with system engineering team to ensure continuous improvement and implementation of features within the MR system and other operational tools in order to improve fieldwork efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in an active Fieldwork Management role in the medical/healthcare market research field.
  • Thorough understanding of both qualitative and quantitative domestic and international market research projects
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of the market research industry and operations
  • Exceptional time management, people and team leadership skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Well-developed analytical and creative problem solving skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment to successfully meet study specific and departmental objectives.
  • The candidate must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • The candidate must have very strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook and Word, and be a quick learner of new technologies/software.
  • This candidate is expected to demonstrate enthusiasm and pride in constantly improving the quality of M3’s services.
