Director of Strategic Planning (Remote)

Job Description

The mission of the Director of Strategic Planning is to identify and manage a pipeline of business strategy projects designed to deliver positive, measurable, and sustained business outcomes. This role has opportunity to touch every part of the business, map out business drivers, and contribute actively to and facilitate strategic and growth planning, including modeling scenarios and tracking results. This role will be deeply involved in setting the company’s direction and ensuring leadership is working effectively to exceed goals.

• Manage a portfolio of highly visible strategic projects, working cross-functionally to structure problems, analyze opportunities, develop solutions, implement, and measure outcomes.
• Develop strategic and business cases working successfully with cross-functional teams outlining business opportunity, rationale, and implementation plans to achieve the vision for the opportunity including product and business models and operational strategies
• Provide recommendations to the business through analytics and market research as required
• Drive and manage the administration, operational, and communication cadence, measure and track critical KPIs, including ROI staff investment and timelines, and regularly present to an executive leadership audience
• Responsible to uncover areas within the business to drive performance improvements to unlock productivity and accelerate implementation
• Responsible for managing change communication and training across many initiatives essential to operationalizing goals and objectives
• Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize and implement on growth opportunities
• Implement evidence-based decision making, apply thoughtful analytics to business opportunities, and identify success metrics / develop reporting to track progress against goals
• Hold executive leadership accountable to measure gains during review and evaluation of plans.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience driving large and complex initiatives from framing the problem, conducting research/analysis to building the business and operational plans through to driving implementation to success.
• Experience with strategy development and financial planning and modeling.
• Strong leadership, analytical and financial skills to solve complex business problems.
• Self-starter who enjoys working in a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative high-growth environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with Executive level communication experience
• Experience in growing and scaling businesses either in a startup or big company context.
• Get-it-done attitude and approach.
• Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
