1: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering2: 6+ years of relevant experience (4 with Master's)3: Experience programming in C and C for headless embedded systems.4: Experience in integration/test of embedded SW with product hardware.5: Experience in structured and documented software design following a defined development process.6: Experience with Network based applications/interfaces including Web Services and Web based configuration UI's.7: Experience in software configuration management using tools such as JIRA and SVN.8: Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer, responsible for research, design, and development of computer applications and embedded software, in conjunction with hardware product development.

DESIRED (not required) SKILLS::: Active Secret security clearance.:: Experience in Java application development (GUI and CLI based) using OpenJDK.:: Experience in GUI and CLI based application development in C, C and Java supporting data analysis and hardware configuration requirements.:: Experience programming in C for embedded real-time systems.:: Experience in development of embedded systems with and without a RTOS.:: Experience in Linux OS tailoring for minimal PowerPC & x86 platforms.:: Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters and other electronic test equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities== Develop software for Windows-based workstations (supporting customer product configuration and internal production/test team operations), FPGA based embedded systems and Linux based embedded systems.== Interact with Systems, Software, Hardware Engineering, and Program Management on specifications/requirements in a collaborative team environment.== Participate in integration and test, requirements sell off, and operations and maintenance of software systems.== Communicate regularly and effectively with program management, project leadership team and stakeholders with regards to status and milestones, and as well as risks and ability to execute on mitigation plans. Includes documentation, reporting and presentation.== Provide SW/Systems customer support, occasionally at customer sites. == Design and development of a variety of software products for a variety applications. == Participates in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test of software products. == Applies computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of software for the target application. == Works closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system. == Develops software test procedures, software programs, and related documentation. == Contributes to determining, estimating, and validating the cost and scope of software efforts to ensure developed software meets program cost, schedule, and technical constraints. == Occasional travel to customer sites, and communicates with customers as required.== Utilize software engineering principles, processes, and industry best practices with the ability to apply them in daily work.
