Data Intelligence (DI) is looking for a Computer Engineer II with 5 years experience to work in the Philadelphia Naval Yard.
Job Responsibilities:The Computer Engineer is responsible for technical support to the DoD RMF process, helping assure the secure operation of Navy systems and networks. They will provide support to System Owners/Programs, Information Assurance/Assessment & Authorization Engineers and Analysts to develop A&A and AO packages and artifacts, implement and maintain security postures, support cybersecurity life cycle management, and produce and maintain related RMF artifacts related to the authorization or de-authorization of applications and systems. The individual will provide engineering support to the following processes/activities:- Assess & Authorize (A&A) and Assess Only (AO) Support
- Collect and collate system/site information to evaluate and to document in eMASS the security posture
- Review security assessment plans, test plans, and procedures to ensure they addresses the correct level of effort and are sufficiently comprehensive
- Optimize A&A and AO testing procedures for completeness and accuracy, evaluate discrepancies and recommend potential mitigations
- Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed systems; conduct systems security evaluation, audits, and reviews
- Work with System Owners and other parties to identify fixes /mitigations for weaknesses and determine acceptable risk levels
- Analyze logs, events, and reporting from various data collections tools, assessing impacts from observed risks
- Evaluate system administrator, security engineer, and/or system owner proposed corrections to ensure compliance
- RMF Continuous Monitoring support
- Risk management and security engineering including IAVM support, remediation, patching, scanning and associated boundary maintenance
- Develop required documentation for the eMASS process – POA&Ms, RARS, DISA STIGs – using MS tools (MS Office, Visio, eMASS STIG Viewer, ACAS)
- Develop and execute test procures to verify control compliance
- Document residual risks in eMASS
- Maintain scan, residual risk plans in VRAM
- Create and verify the accuracy of POA&Ms/RARs
- 5+ years of professional experience in computer design, software development or computer networks
- Experience in the research, design, development, and test of computer hardware and software programs
- Understanding of the DoD RMF process
- Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with concentration in Computer Science
- Minimum current IAT I level certification - A+ CE, CCNA- Security, Network+ CE, SSCP
- Must have at least an interim secret level security clearance
