Engineering Technical Leader - Embedded Software Engineer

Engineering Technical Leader - Embedded Software Engineer for our premier client in

Erie, Pennsylvania.

Education and Experience »

Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 5+ years’ experience OR
Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience in product development, new product introduction (NPI) and project management in industrial sector.
Expertise with software requirements, software change management, defect tracking, software build and release processes.
Knowledge of software architecture principles, embedded systems, device drivers & MATLAB/Simulink
Design and development experience with embedded and real-time software systems (Linux, QNX, Greenhill, Mentor Nucleus)
Design and development experience in C/C, Python, Shell scripting, Board Support Package
Hands on experience testing/debugging Embedded software/ firmware
Experience with interposes communication and Synchronization methods
Extensive experience in Xilinx, ARM, PPC, Intel processors
Experience with Serial, Arcnet and Ethernet based communications standards
Experience with TCP/IP, UDP, DDS, XCP protocols
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
Pro-active, organized, motivated and results-oriented team player, with strong sense of ownership, accountability and sense of urgency

Desired Characteristics:

Exposure to Cyber secure coding
Ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks.
Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness to solve problems and deliver results

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities:

Write code, test and release software.
Resolve software issues, perform root cause analysis and provide solutions.
Deliver software on time with quality.
Perform design and code reviews in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines.
Break down problems and estimate time for software development tasks.
Work cross-functionally with systems engineering, product management, simulation, verification, validation and electronic hardware teams.
