Astound Broadband, powered by RCN is seeking an Enterprise Sales Account Executive, who will work in the Lehigh Valley area charged with selling the full complement of Astound Business voice, data, internet and video services, focused on solution selling strategies. This position focuses on acquiring new logo accounts in a dynamic metropolitan market and the right candidate will be the sales part of a team, managing complex voice/data enterprise network accounts, involving Network infrastructure, network design and custom applications. The successful individual will be carrying out consultative selling, account planning and account Management with a strong emphasis on customer service. This position will focus on new customer acquisition and requires an Account Executive with self-starter skills and strengths in networking, prospecting, relationship building, contract negotiating and closing techniques. This position will be expected to maintain a full funnel of activity and meet all forecasted revenue targets as well as be responsible for rigorous prospecting to vertical markets such as but not limited to government contractors/agencies, multinational corporations, hotel/motels, universities, and healthcare facilities.
Sales techniques will include market analysis, target company research, canvassing, and cold calling, networking and maximizing internal and external lead generation scenarios.
Requirements Qualifications:Education/Training:
- High School Diploma/GED is required
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
Years of Relevant Experience:
- 5+ Commercial Sales (required)
- Telecommunications industry experience (preferred)
Core Competencies:

Microsoft Office applications; CRM software experience.

Strong oral and written skills; persistent follow up and closing skills

Ability to build and manage a robust sales funnel

Ability to travel for sales training, sales calls and follow up meetings
