We currently have a 6 month contract position for an Enterprise IT Project Manager in Pittsburgh, PA.W2 Candidates Only. We cannot sponsor.

Overall Purpose:Manages multiple large projects related to internal information systems. Manages and prioritizes the project stream, working with internal customers to determine project definition and business requirements. Provides budget analysis, resource allocation and coordination of project activities that may be across functional areas within the organization. Assigns and monitors work of technical personnel, ensuring that project steps are in alignment with business objectives, on-time and within budget. Monitors reliability and any internal issues that appear as a result of the project. Functions independently under broad guidelines. Role typically requires between 10 and 12 years of experience.

Job Responsibilities:Project Delivery Getting the Job Done
  • Driving Results: Manages definition and delivery of large or complex programs or projects within scope and budget levels.
  • Creates a detailed project plan and resource management plan which identifies and sequences the activities and resources needed to successfully complete the project within scope, schedule and budget.
  • Completes risk management plan and risk register to identify issues and risks that need escalation and resolution.
  • Assigns and logs action items and follows up to ensure timely closure.
  • Performs project closeout tasks, documents lessons learned, and organizes and stores all project documentation for later reference.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Communication / Trust, Collaboration:
  • Works with the project sponsor, PMO, and appropriate stakeholders to define scope and business requirements of approved projects to support organizational goals and objectives. Ensures appropriate change management activities, test plans, and training plans are developed early in the process to ensure business readiness and successful on-time delivery of assigned projects.
Financial Management:
  • Tracks and prepares monthly financially reports including future forecasts and explanations for budget variances.
Skills/Abilities:
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership and negotiation skills with the ability to plan, direct, and coordinate the work of other matrixed team members. Must have strong computer skills with a proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Projects. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and organizational skills. Must be comfortable with change and complexity in dynamic environments.

Supervisory:May coordinate the work flow of a given team. May support the review of work and training of other employees.

Education/Experience Requirements:Roles at this level require industry specific experience. Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. With < 10+ years of relevant experience. Certifications are often preferred.
