OverviewJob Overview:As the Electrical Estimating Manager with extensive RFP (Request for Proposal) experience in facilities projects, you will play a pivotal role in our organization by leading the electrical estimating team. This position requires a seasoned professional with a background in electrical estimating, a deep understanding of facilities projects, and proven expertise in responding to RFPs. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth and success of the company by ensuring accurate, competitive, and timely electrical project estimates.Key Responsibilities:Estimation Leadership:

Lead and manage the electrical estimating team, ensuring efficient workflow, accurate estimates, and adherence to project timelines.

Provide guidance on estimation techniques, cost analysis, and value engineering.

RFP Response:

Oversee the development and submission of comprehensive and competitive RFP responses.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure alignment with client requirements.

Project Understanding:

Possess a thorough understanding of electrical components and systems within facilities projects, including but not limited to power distribution, lighting, and control systems.

Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to create accurate estimates.

Cost Analysis:

Conduct detailed cost analyses, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.

Ensure estimates align with industry standards, company policies, and client expectations.

Client Interaction:

Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, address inquiries, and build positive relationships.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop cohesive and competitive project estimates.

Provide support to the procurement team in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.

Risk Assessment:

Identify and assess potential risks in project estimates, proposing mitigation strategies where necessary.

Collaborate with the project management team to align estimates with project execution plans.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on industry trends, construction methodologies, and electrical technologies.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating department.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum of [X] years of experience in electrical estimating, with a focus on facilities projects.

Proven experience in responding to RFPs and developing winning proposals.
