Estimator

We are looking to fill an Estimator position which is in charge of managing all phases of the estimating and bid preparation and must ensure the work is performed correctly and expeditiously and in the highest level of quality. This position will interface with the client, architects, designers, consultants, structural engineers, subcontractors and material suppliers providing and/or obtaining all pertinent information as required to produce an accurate and complete bid packet.Estimator job highlights:

Responsible for all phases of take-off and buy-outs; labor & material.

Coordination of blueprint & project scope review with bidding suppliers and subcontractors

Design drawings and specifications review using discretion and evaluation of industry standards & practices to minimize risks

Review of proposals from suppliers and subcontractors

Research upcoming projects and build customer base

What we look for in an Estimator :

Strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects, time, and priorities is a must.

Strong communication (oral & written) and customer service skills are a must.

Work in Private and Public construction would be very helpful.

Organizational and creative problem solving skills are a must.

Strong Excel spreadsheet experience required; experience with StruMIS software, or equivalent, a plus

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
