As our Channel FP&A Manager, you will be accountable for overseeing the FP&A function for several channels within our Mineral Fiber segment. This includes partnering with business leaders on strategies to foster growth, optimize cash, improve value propositions, and use data analytics to make timely and effective business decisions.

You will also be expected to utilize your business partnership skills and collaborate cross-functionally to develop and drive profitable growth for the business in line with AWI's strategic plan. Our ideal candidate must be able to think strategically, have a growth mindset, demonstrate agility, improve processes, and be a collaborative team player.

What you'll be doing
  • Ensuring the accuracy of monthly financial results, including P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Managing month-end closing responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, accruals, intercompany billing/settlement, samples vendor reporting/accounting, sales incentives, and customer rebate accruals, and international cashflow management
  • Analyzingfinancial and operational results to better understand performance
  • Providing root cause analysis for monthly variances, and offering corrective actions and countermeasures to improve financial outcomes
  • Partnering with the business leadership team to formulate the channel's medium to long term financial and strategic plan.
  • Collaborating with BU leads to develop budgets, estimates, and forecasts
  • Developing financial models toproject long term growth and business drivers
  • Delivering competitor analysis and market trends to business leadership
  • Utilizing data tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, BW, SalesForce.com, OneStream, and Tableau to provide the most efficient and effective analytical insights
  • Evaluating existing processes and procedures and developing recommendations
  • Managing the preparation and review of business cases for new investment proposals, including customer/channel line reviews, plant asset and product extension investments, new business ventures, and value proposition endeavors
  • Adhering to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

Requirements that will make you successful
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • 5+ years of experience with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to analyze and forecast revenue, operational costs, and SG&A expenses
  • Experience ensuring that processes and procedures are in place and operating effectively for compliance with the Corporate Accounting Policies and Procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Track record of providing operational direction
  • Familiarity with linking and analyzing manufacturing metrics to financial performance
  • Customer-focused mentality and ability to deliver accurate, quality, and timely results

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA and/or MBA in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • Experience utilizing SAP and familiarity with software implementations
