About the Role

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Innkeeper to join our new boutique hotel in Chester, PA. This is a part-time position offering an opportunity to contribute to a welcoming and memorable guest experience in a charming, intimate setting.

Position Details

Job Type: Part-time

Hours: 3 days per week

Hourly Wage: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Welcome guests upon arrival, perform check-in/check-out procedures, and handle guest communications.

Manage front desk operations, including phone, email, and reservation system management.

Maintain guest records, ensure accuracy of bookings, and update room status in the property management system (PMS).

Assist guests with requests, recommendations, and local information to enhance their stay.

Oversee concierge services, such as transportation arrangements, dining reservations, and activity planning.

Ensure common areas are clean, orderly, and guest-ready; coordinate housekeeping with external staff as needed.

Monitor inventory for amenities, supplies, and toiletries; restock as necessary.

Enforce hotel policies and safety procedures while ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.

Handle guest complaints or issues professionally, documenting incidents and following up with appropriate resolutions.

Assist with light administrative duties, including reporting, payroll, and scheduling inputs.

Maintain a welcoming ambiance, including lobby presentation, lighting, music, and decor alignment with the boutique brand.

Collaborate with management on special events, promotions, and guest experiences.

Qualifications & Skills

Prior experience in hospitality, innkeeping, or front-desk roles preferred (training provided as needed).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Proven problem-solving abilities and a guest-first attitude.

Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Basic computer skills (reservation systems, PMS, email, and Microsoft Office).

Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.

A professional appearance and courteous demeanor.
