Job Description

Work Assignments:

Work assignments may vary and include working outdoors in various climate and temperature extremes such as cold and high heat and humidity. The primary work assignment will be assisting with neighborhood beautification tasks throughout the City to make Philadelphia a cleaner place to live and work. These projects, though rewarding,

require strenuous physical activity in difficult and challenging environments. An intern of the program

will frequently be lifting and carrying 10 – 20 lbs. should it be more than 10-20 lbs? The jackhammer can weigh up to 90 lbs. and standing for long periods of time.

The

Philly Future Track Program is seeking to hire qualified individuals that meet the following criteria:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a current resident of the City of Philadelphia
  • Possess a high school diploma, G.E.D or equivalency
  • Have a strong desire to attain and retain full-time, permanent employment
  • Have reliable transportation to-and-from the worksite and classroom (public transit, car, or other form of transport)
  • Be available to work

    Mon-Fri (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test

  • Works well with others and is a team player
  • Strong desire to complete neighborhood beautification projects that are physically demanding
  • Exhibits a willingness to learn, grow, and develop oneself

Salary: $15 / hour
