WE ARE LOOKING FOR A BRIGHT AND DEPENDABLE PERSON TO SUPPORT OUR CUSTOM MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS AND GENERAL PLANT MAINTENANCE
PREVIOUS WELL ROUNDED EXPERIENCE IN AN INDUSTRIAL / MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
POSITION SUMMARY
Perform general labor in support of all manufacturing and company activities in a fast-paced multi-tasking custom manufacturing industrial environment. Perform general labor activities in support of large and small part precision machining, welding, fabricating and electromechanical assembly of specialty equipment, tooling and component parts. Perform miscellaneous facilities maintenance and upkeep.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in working with your hands
A strong understanding of basic mathematics consisting of addition and subtraction of fractions and decimals
Strong organizational skills and decision making skills
Accept and understand verbal and written instructions to accurately perform all assigned tasks
Experience and ability in reading and interpreting blue prints is desired but not required
Possess a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Capable of passing a physical and passing all background screening
TASKS OF THE POSITION
Proficiently use tape measures and other measuring equipment to utilize automated, manual and mitering saws to accurately saw raw materials to specified sizes and/or drawing specifications, identify and route sawed materials per protocol
Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform bench work on weldments and precision-machined components
Perform receipt inspections of incoming materials and products against procurement documents, identify and route per protocol
Safely utilize sound rigging practices to lift and move heavy loads with overhead cranes
Safely drive and utilize a fork truck to lift and move heavy loads
Skid, band, box and label finished outgoing products for shipment
Load and unload flatbed and box trucks with incoming materials and outgoing products
Clean and maintain machines, equipment, tools and facilities including sweeping, wiping, cleaning, cutting grass, washing cars/trucks and other general facilities maintenance tasks
Safely drive flatbed and pick-up trucks to make product deliveries and pick-ups
Utilize paint spraying equipment to safely and properly apply primers and top coats to finished weldments and components including cleaning, upkeep and maintenance of the equipment
Assist on mechanical assembly and electromechanical assembly projects
Assure conformance of tasks, processes and product to customer and/or company specifications and requirements by properly utilizing measuring instruments, measuring tools, gages and/or by any means as deemed necessary for verifying conformance as defined by the requirements
Effectively communicate well with other employees to enhance the continuity of the manufacturing operations and assure conformance to requirements and company objectives
Effectively, efficiently and accurately understand quality assurance requirements and their impact on the products being produced.
Safely and efficiently perform any and all other tasks required or as assigned to the benefit of the company or customer
Assure that all work is performed in a safe and professional manner
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED required
Post high school Diploma/Degree or equivalent a plus
EXPERIENCE:
Previous well rounded experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment desired
