Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Grant Accountant in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The role involves managing a portfolio of grant prospects within our industry, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports. The job function will require strong attention to detail, superior organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Responsibilities: Actively manage grant prospects, crafting persuasive proposals to private funders that clearly detail the purpose, activities, and outcomes of agency programs. Utilize the DonorPerfect management system to maintain accurate records, facilitating the tracking of grant awards, renewals, and report deadlines. Generate monthly reports summarizing grant activity, upcoming deadlines, and progress towards annual fundraising goals. Prepare and distribute Gift Entry and Grant Implementation Documents, summarizing grant information, spending schedules, and necessary follow-ups. Coordinate Grant Implementation meetings with program and finance staff, ensuring they are informed of outcome goals, reporting requirements, and post-award amendments or modifications. Schedule follow-up meetings as necessary to support timely grant expenditure and fulfillment of matching funds requirements. Prepare and submit reports for government grants, including annual and semiannual progress reports and Homeless Management Information System data uploads. Perform accounting functions, auditing, budget processes, capital management, and cash activity.For immediate consideration please apply directly to job posting or call 610-882-1600Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Functions is a must-have skill. The candidate should be able to manage and handle all types of accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Demonstrated experience in Auditing is required. The candidate should be able to conduct internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. Familiarity with Budget Processes is crucial. The candidate should be adept at preparing budgets, assessing budget proposals, and forecasting financial outcomes. Knowledge in Capital Management is essential. The candidate should have experience in managing the organization's capital effectively and making sound financial decisions that align with the organization's strategic goals. Proficiency in managing Cash Activity is necessary. The candidate should be skilled in overseeing all cash transactions, including deposits, payments, and withdrawals.
