The HCL Fabricator supports Erie plant production to achieve high quality products with high level workmanship while following all safety protocols and being involved in continuous improvement within the HCL department. HCL Fabricators are asked to perform a large variety of manufacturing processes across many different areas within the HCL department. This position falls within the scope of the FAA Drug and Alcohol program which includes a random testing program and successful completion of an FAA pre-employment drug screen.Candidates must be able to work off shift (2nd or 3rd shift) for an extended period of time; likely multiple years.

Support production in the largest value stream (HCL) within the Parker LORD Erie facility

Perform manufacturing processes which may include but not limited to blasting, chemical treatment processing, adhesive application, elastomer preparation, run rolling mills, fabrication, molding assembly, component assembly, painting, and inspection

Complete all manufacturing paperwork and computer transactions accurately and timely

Daily interaction with other operators and department support staff to share best practices and support smooth shift changeover

Cross-training within various HCL areas to facilitate continued growth and support production needs

Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality

Participation in activities designed to improve safety, quality, customer satisfaction and productivity

Proactive involvement in LEAN manufacturing and a strong commitment to continuous improvement

Complete operator certification training (internal Parker Lord Erie training course)

Required:

High School Diploma

Fluent in English, both written and verbal

Preferred:

Trade school experience

1-2 years of manufacturing operations experience

Mechanical skills/abilities
