Our Signaling, Communications, Software and Electrification (SCS&E) team is seeking a hard-working leader for our Strategic Procurement team. In this leadership role you will with suppliers, factories, project teams, and partners to support the transit, freight, and high-speed rail markets. You will have the opportunity to utilize resources in North America and work with our global procurement teams.Your primary responsibility will be to lead all aspects of strategic procurement for our SCS&E business unit in the USA. This role will involve developing and implementing procurement strategies for our US markets and ensure a high-performance supply chain. Ideally, you have extensive knowledge of US local supply markets in Rail commodities and experience in both product and project business. Most importantly, you will mentor and manage your team of 14+ category and project procurement managers, effectively addressing business expansion and encouraging a growth mindset culture.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Ensuring the resilience of the SCS&E business unit supply chain and growing the supply base across a diverse range of commodities incl. EMS, signaling, communication, and electrification.

Driving cost reduction initiatives across bids and projects

Developing and implementing sustainable strategic procurement activities

Implementing industry-leading sourcing processes and ensuring purchase-to-pay compliance.

Driving continuous improvement and digitalization within the team and the supply chain, monitoring supply market conditions.

Managing and engaging a global procurement network with preferred suppliers to drive innovation and performance.

Identifying and handling procurement risks, opportunities, potential changes, and claims throughout the project lifecycle

Building and maintaining partnerships to support both product and project segments.

To excel in this role, you should have:

Over 10 years of experience as a Procurement professional, with at least 5 years of leadership experience and the ability to travel approximately 30%.

Hands on knowledge of supply chain management and the US domestic Rail SCS&E markets

Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to quickly establish trust and confidence.

International experience in collaboration and cross-functional skills

Proficiency in electronic auctions and bids (e-Auction / e-Bid)

Interest in digital and automated solutions

The base salary range for this position in Pittsburgh, PA, is $170,200 - $230,300 and the annual incentive is 20% of the base salary.
