Hourly Mechanic

DescriptionHOURLY MECHANICJBS- SOUDERTON, PENNSYLVANIAKey Responsibilities and Accountability include but are not limited to:Essential Job Functions:

Inspectand test machinery to ensure proper functioning

Inspect mechanical equipment tolocate damage, defects, or wearreplacing worn, damaged or defective mechanical parts as needed

Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists,and hand tools, or power tools

Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair

Operate hoistsor other moving or lifting equipment

Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or performing other preventive maintenance

Inspect mechanicalcomponents to identify problems

Trouble shoot electrical controls andcomponents and repair as needed

Experience Required:

2-3 years of industrial electrical experience in a food industry environment preferred

2-3 years of ammonia refrigeration operation in a food industry environment preferred

Skills/Abilities Required:

Basic computer skills

Must be able to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, work with a variety of hand and power tools and shop machines

Must be able to work in extreme temperatures

Knowledge of manufacturing/packaging equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, labeling equipment and conveyors

Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and the ability to learn quickly

Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and some weekends
