THE POSITION

The Department of Corrections Human Resource Office (DOCHRO) is seeking the right candidate to be our next HR Analyst 2 for the regional office serving State Correctional Institution (SCI) - Fayette. If you are interested in a career with varied human resource work, we encourage you to apply for our dedicated team of professionals!DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will independently apply technical HR principles and professional analysis in multiple HR processes and programs. This position will be responsible for all aspects for the facility's employee and labor relations functions from Labor/Management meetings to all levels of the accelerated grievance process. Responsibilities also include reviewing completed fact-findings and consulting with supervisors and managers for proper disciplinary consideration. This position also provides guidance to staff on employee services and workplace violence related questions and utilizes local and DOCHRO data to identify areas for improvement within the facility's operations related to supervisory and management functions. You will also coordinate with the Field Human Resource Officer (FHRO) regarding facility vacancies and hiring needs, serving as the on-site HR point of contact in the absence of the FHRO. Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two days per week after successful completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Labelle.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 including six months in the area of the parenthetical; or

One year of experience in the performance of professional human resource duties, including six months of experience in the area of the parenthetical; and a bachelor's degree; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:
