Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Trade Compliance Teams interpret laws, rules, and regulations regarding shipping and prepare applications for import/export control certifications and licenses. Our objective is to build a world class Global Trade Services organization. The Global Trade Services Import/export analyst will oversee customs related matters, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and internal requirements. The position will have responsibility for supporting the Americas duty mitigation programs as a subject matter expert.


Responsibilities:
Monitory and track free trade agreement programs
Manage supplier country of origin solicitation process
Identify risks or gaps and lead projects for system improvements or enhancements.
Review declaration claims and implement corrective actions as appropriate
Review system data to ensure alignment between applications.
Work with business units to identify cost saving opportunities
Oversee certification acceptance process and interface with supplier to correct and align classification data
Provide oversight and training
Onboarding of new plants
Manage TIB and US good return processes
Familiar with Maquiladora operations and imports from Mexico
Self-starter able to work complex issues across functional teams

What your background should look like:

Experience with free trade agreement system management required
Licensed Customs Broker preferred
US Customs Country of Origin, Classification and Valuation determination required
Understanding of various free trade agreement globally preferred
Bachelor’s Degree required
SAP, Amber Road Trade Automation, MS Office
Experience working with large, complex data sets
Exceptional written and verbal and presentation skills with the ability to interact and team with Company personnel and external advisors and government agencies
Proficient with SAP, Amber Road Trade Automation, M365, CBP ACE application
Location
Position is remote and can be based anywhere in the US.
