The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution Muncy, is seeking a highly motivated and creative individual with strong attention to detail to join our team as an Information Technology Generalist 1. DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will be responsible for troubleshooting automation issues, installing and maintaining personal and mainframe computer systems, and network-related equipment and software. You will provide technical support to users, serve as a liaison, aid in developing software applications for institutional use, and assist with managing automation equipment and supplies. Additionally, you will stay updated on microcomputer and mainframe hardware, software, applications, and telecommunications used across the supported agencies through ongoing on-the-job training. You will also regularly review technical manuals, attend seminars, conferences, and training sessions to keep up with the latest information services, products, and IT advancements. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60 or 65.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or

One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician;or

One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
