Our Client, an industry-leading, Pittsburgh-based supplier of automotive components, is currently seeking candidates for an Infrastructure Architect/Manager role. This individual will be a key member of the IT group, participating in architecture and roadmap design, designing solutions, and identifying and resolving systemic issues. Additionally, this role supervises 3 team members and will serve as the last level of escalation.This direct-hire position will come with an excellent salary and benefits package, including health/dental/vision, generous PTO, and 401K. - Design, implement, and maintain the organization's application systems and/or IT infrastructure.
- Continue ongoing transition/utilization of Azure Cloud whenever possible.
- Provide an architectural framework for information system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts.
- Understand user and process requirements and ensure those requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables.
- Work closely with developers and engineers to develop road maps for applications, align development plans, and to ensure effective integration among information systems and the IT infrastructure.
- Monitor technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements.
- Understand the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluate the impact of changes or additions.
- Analyze systems and perform usability testing to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability, and meet security requirements.
- Map the relationships between IT platform/infrastructure components (i.e., Technology End Users, IT Systems Software & Hardware, and Info-Communications Transmission Networks).
- Identify the key technology interactions and dependencies across systems/platforms impacting the organization’s ability to achieve integration, compatibility, and performance targets.
- Evaluate the total cost of ownership and return on investment of various IT platform/infrastructure alternatives.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of IT infrastructure experience and strong background with Networking, Server Management, User Support, Cloud technology, and Security.
- TOGAF, ITIL, or PMP certifications
- Technical certifications for relevant technologies (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, RedHat, NetApp, etc.).
