Job DescriptionAs anInstallation Specialistfor our Solar Innovations brand,you will have the opportunity to travel to residential and commercial job sites to install glass enclosures (greenhouses, conservatories, skylights, etc.) and window & door products. Since most of our products are custom, this is a unique opportunity to learn a specialized trade or to transfer your construction skills to a growing field.Although travel will typically be on the East Coast, there is an opportunity for travel to extend beyond that region, dependent on customer request and we have worked with some cool customers over the last few years!Theideal candidatewill have a background in construction, carpentry, remodeling and/or home building, enjoy working with your hands, be comfortable with all kinds of working environments, and be passionate about safety.This role is100% travelduring the week and home on weekends. Solar Innovations will providehotel accommodations, meal stipends, plus company vehicle and gas. This role is eligible forovertime payand we anticipate an average of10-15% of overtime each week.What you will be doing:

Travel (both for day and overnight trips)to commercial and residential customer job sites to install glass enclosures and/or window and door products

Interpret blueprints and follow procedures in accordance with installation manuals to limit unnecessary rework

Perform finishing details and system caulking with limited supervision, ensuring quality and speed surpass departmental standards

Perform brake metal adjustments in the field, as needed

Operate mobile equipment, such as scissor lifts, forklifts, and boom lifts, under the supervision of the Crew Leader

Perform limited vehicle driving responsibilities, typically in non-DOT vehicles

Consistently follow departmental procedures regarding expense reimbursements, timekeeping, etc.

Qualifications

4+ years experience in construction, carpentry, remodeling, and/or home building; or related education (i.e. trade school)

Ability to lift at least50lbs

Ability to travel (both for day trips and overnight trips) typically 3 4 overnights per week

Strong communication skills and abilityto effectively work on a team

Comfortable occasionallyflying for business purposes

Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

Nice to Have:

Experience with glass structures, windows & doors, framing, or similar products

Previous installation experience in residential or commercial industries

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Heavy equipment certifications (i.e. forklift operator)

Bilingual (Spanish & English)
