The Enterprise Project and Initiative directorate in Penn State IT is seeking a highly motivated and creative IT Project Manager with a proven record of success driving high visibility projects to successful completion. The IT Project Manager works closely with IT leaders and key business stakeholders in the planning, resourcing, and executing of projects within Penn State IT and partnering units throughout the University. The IT PM will help advance the maturity of project management practices and play an active role in the evolution of Enterprise Projects and Initiatives as it provides strategic as well as tactical support to the VP of IT (CIO) and the broader Penn State IT community. Situated within the User Success sub-unit of Penn State IT, Enterprise Projects and Initiatives integrates project management, organizational change, and business analysis functions in support of large complex enterprise efforts. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies and hybrid approaches, and proven success delivering outcomes aligned with client expectations. Excellent leadership, communication and relationship skills, analytical capabilities, and the ability to lead complex projects are key to success in this role.This position can be expected to lead efforts to establish a new IT service, implemented at enterprise-scale to support the entire University. (i.e. new enterprise-wide CRM; Salesforce) Ability to work effectively within a flexible and multidisciplinary framework is required.
