Java Developer (HICS-22-0439-W): Bowhead is seeking a Java Developer to support the Hazardous Inventory Control System (HICS) contract in Mechanicsburg, PA. The Java Developer will be a key member on the Agile Release Teams to support HICS/SOA PMO/Project Managers by completing product backlog items called stories. A story represents any unit of measurable work that provides value and will serve as a deliverable. The Agile Release Teams can work on any system backlog for a new or existing system or application that requires the use of the current HICS/SOA Technical Landscape or an evolution of the Technical Landscape. The Java Developer will provide sustainment to the HICS application that allow the user to build and maintain inventory, issue, receive materials and track inventory from a centralized center. Other duties may include: • Create web services and APIs that power various logistics systems and platforms. The services are designed to be scalable and reusable which allows the team to deliver business value through cost reduction, interoperability and increased automation • Maintain a catalog of services that includes, but is not limited to the logistics management tool (LMT) and the enterprise mail service (EMS). The services are provided through the Oracle Service Bus platform, but may evolve to include other platforms such as API gateways. Support of the services and APIs requires an understanding of programming languages like Java, technologies like JSON and XML and service/API design Bowhead seeks to network with qualified individuals relative to a potential opportunity, which is contingent upon award and not currently funded. Requirements In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. • 6+ years' of experience with the following: Java Programming Language; Object Oriented Programming • 4+ years' experience with the following: REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, HTTP, Data Modelling, Relational Databases • 3+ years' of experience with the following: JDBC, Web Application Development • 2+ years' of experience with the following: Agile Development Methodologies, Oracle Enterprise Service Bus, API Gateways, Service Oriented Architecture, Secure Coding Practices, SOA Suites, Git Source Control Management • 1+ years' of experience of API / Web Service Documentation • Must have and maintain IAT II Baseline Certification (Security (+) or equivalent) SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust (NACL) level. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Public Trust (NACL) clearance at this location.
