Layup Technician 1 - LAYUP001283-00001DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
Working with minimal supervision on a team to build specific composite parts per specifications.
Assisting in the preparation of molds and forms.
Marking and cutting tape, woven material, honeycomb, adhesive and similar materials following templates, guides or specific dimensions and sequences.
Fitting and smoothing successive layers of materials as necessary to secure build-up free from wrinkles, air pockets and voids following directions and instructions.
Ensuring that final size, shape and details of parts are correct and in accordance with standards.
Noticing and commenting on the level of quality of products.
Working towards continuous improvement and efficiency.
Recognizing problems and help in their resolutions.
Completing required paperwork.Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED), or 2 years' experience in assembly, maintenance, manufacturing production, or related skills.Other Useful Skills and Abilities:
Previous composites lay-up experience, preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to work under limited supervision.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Manual dexterity and motor coordination.
Ability to work with small tools.
Knowledge of workplace safety.
Must be able to read and speak English to understand work instructions.
Must be willing to acquire an understanding of the manufacturing process.
Must be team-oriented and understand the customer-focused nature of the medical device industry.Physical Demands:
