The Lead Interventional Radiology Technologist will work in conjunction with the Nurse Manager to provide leadership and administrative support. The Lead will successfully collaborate with nursing, providers and other clinical staff. The Lead promotes and ensures that the highest quality of care is provided to patients and families in the department. The lead technologist needs to be sure all of the employees work together as a team and routinely rotate through each area. The incumbent will be responsible for the coordination of all operational responsibilities for the department.

Responsibilities:

Direct patient care with call requirement

Supports IR technologists in department

Manages efficiency of day-to-day operations and oversees workflows

Inventory and budget management

Manages staff time cards and process payroll

Active communication and collaboration with IR nurses, attending physicians and APP

Participates in staff's education and development

Maintains and participates in performance improvement activities while assuring competency of all personnel.

Maintains efficient and effective section operation while requiring compliance with all TJC, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.

Credentials:

ARRT eligible and registered within one year of hire date required.

Basic Life Support Certification required.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

Satisfactory completion of an accredited Radiology Technology Program 3 years in Radiology preferred w/Interventional Radiology Experience required.

Bachelor of Arts or Science preferred.
