Job Title: Mainframe Developer

Duration: 12 months contract assignment project

Location: Remote to start & will change as per the policy for back to office (Pittsburgh, PA- 15258)

Job Type: W2 Only.

In depth knowledge of IBM Mainframe z/OS environment with current hands-on development, coding experience
Must have worked on Mainframe Transformation initiatives involving re-platforming or re-factoring of the code
Working knowledge of tools used in transformation initiatives such as mainframe code analyzer, migration tools, testing tools
Prior experience in tools such as innoWake, Blue Age, MicroFocus Enterprise Analyzer, mLogica LIBER M or IBM IDZ / ADDI is plus
Must have good communication skills, interaction with business and Vendor teams and effectively represent the technical team in project calls
Strong knowledge of programming languages OS/VS COBOL, COBOL II and COBOL 6.2
Experience with various file systems VSAM/FLAT/GDG
Good understanding of JCL/TSO/ISPF and job scheduling (Control-M a plus)
Understanding of DB2 (Oracle is a plus)
Experience with RPG II is a big plus
Strong in CICS with knowledge of BMS map editing, CICS tables and transactions
Ability to use various third-party tools like INSYNC, SyncSort for data extraction, manipulation and load of VSAM
Hands on experience with Endeavor (Understanding of GIT is a plus)
Familiarity with ETL, file transmissions mechanisms, NDM is a plus
Must be a self-starter and able to research, identify a problem and solution
Experience with large financial applications integrated in a distributed setup with various modern technologies
10 plus years of recent relevant work experience required
