Job Description

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the supervision of Maintenance department employees in performing proactive and reactive maintenance tasks on the facility and equipment including associated planning and scheduling. It ensures all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.

Organizational Relationship

This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Accountabilities

· Supervise and provide support for day-to-day activities of the Maintenance department.

· Manage an adequate and successful prioritization program and lead initiatives to sustain it with an accountability attitude at any level.

· Generate work orders, track progress and follow up as needed.

· Order and source parts as needed for the completion maintenance tasks.

· Work with production supervisors, production personnel and maintenance personnel to ensure the facility and equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

· Work with production supervisors, production personnel and maintenance personnel to drive continuous improvement and ensure a safe work environment.

· Administer the consistent and equitable application of company policies.

· Accept challenges and responsibilities as identified.

· Ensure repairs and maintenance to facilities and equipment are completed in a safe efficient manner.

· Ensure all work is performed and completed in conformance with any related codes, guidelines or standards established by a manufacturer or regulating body.

· Ensure follow up work is completed as needed to keep facility and equipment in good working order.

· Must adhere to all company and Health & Safety policies as indicated in the Associate Handbook and Standards of Business Conduct Handbook.

· Perform other duties as may be assigned at management’s discretion.

Qualifications

Characteristics & Attributes

Ability to supervise, train and provide direction to maintenance employees.

· Must have good troubleshooting skills.

· Able to read electrical schematics and blueprints.

· Must be self-motivated, have good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment with multiple shifts.

· Must have basic computer skills. i.e.: Be able to work with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.

· AutoCAD Design software knowledge beneficial.

· PLC Programming/Troubleshooting knowledge beneficial.

Education & Experience

High School diploma or GED required and 5 years industrial maintenance experience or degree and/or certificate with an emphasis in industrial electrical field with greater than one year of commercial or industrial maintenance experience. Candidates will also be considered with recognized state electrical license (journeyman’s or masters).
