Manager - IT Applications

We are seeking a Manager of IT Applications and IT staff with strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and social skills to support our software.

Summary of Basic Function:

The Manager - IT Applications is responsible for ensuring the company is deriving the maximum business value from applications utilized by the business units. In collaboration with business partners, the incumbent will define technology solutions that enable efficient, scalable, business processes enabling the business unit to meet their strategic goals. This role will lead a team responsible for business requirements definition, functional design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the full systems life cycle management of projects/programs

Understand customer pain points and collaborate to propose potential process changes/new solutions

Proactively bring solutions to improve productivity (consider all technologies including collaboration, automation, robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning) - work collaboratively with customers and colleagues to develop the business case

Serve as first point of escalation for IT application related customer issues

Collaborate closely with technical development, architecture, integration, and/or functional configuration resources to implement systems changes

Manage or participate in new IT implementations (for example new application modules or systems)

Acts as liaison with customers/stakeholders for troubleshooting to investigate, analyze, solve, and test problems/tickets and map Armada business requirements, processes, and objectives

Provide support and development to employees through performance management, coaching, motivation, and training

Take lead role in supporting various aspects of requirements testing (e.g., testing plan, scenarios, documentation, defect management) to ensure minimal production defects are realized and completing analysis of the results tying back to customer impacts.

Develop and evaluate plans and criteria to be carried out by others; provides direction and leadership in close collaboration with the Project Management Office (PMO) to prioritize IT projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Direct management of 2-3 IT technical and management resources focused on application implementation and support

Direct management of third-party resources providing IT services

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in information systems, business management, computer science or closely related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ten (10)+ years of experience demonstrating progressive technical management
  • IT business analysis background with a focus on technology
  • IT configuration and setup experience with an ERP platform and one of the BI tools
  • Must be hands-on with technical applications, as well as management to lead projects through full life cycle
  • Project Management experience
  • Ability to collaborate with peers in the business and IT organization to set priorities, policies, and procedures
  • Understanding of financial integration with operations
