Mechanical Systems Engineer

The Mechanical Systems Engineering group is responsible for piping materials, manual valves, insulation, paint & coatings, and cooling water system design among other items.We are delivering some of the largest and most complex projects in our 80 year history and in the history of the industrial gas industry! As we grow our capabilities, we need hardworking people to embrace our history and build a better tomorrow.Responsibilities include:Assist in the execution of piping material engineering projects under direct supervision of project lead engineersPrepare project work using internal standards, industry practices, and personal experience to ensurea safe designThere are no previous jobs in this list.There are no next jobs in this list.Develop and apply piping material classes based on product and project requirementsSpecify insulation, paint, and protective coatings onPiping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Line ListsSelect and specify manual valves and piping specialty itemsPrepare pressure test diagrams and specificationsOccasionally travel to support global engineering teamsOther duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field2 years’ experience in industrial piping engineeringExperience in specification of piping systems and manual valvesUnderstanding of basic piping engineering conceptsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skillsAbility to travel domestically or internationally to offices, vendor shops, and project sites.Travel is expected to be up to 10%Preferred:Experience in hydrogen, syngas, and ammonia piping systemsExperience with Hexagon SmartPlant software tools - P&ID, Materials, Reference DataEPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) experienceApplicants must provide their phone number.
