Media Specialist

Job Purpose:As Media Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the various Digital Media Systems and associated systems and workflows. You will perform troubleshooting of issues related to digital media systems. This position also interacts directly with the end users, news, and field teams. The candidate must have excellent verbal, organizational and written communication skills. Responsibilities:Ingest files and graphics into the system and setup shared and private filesSystem administration: monitoring media storage, routine maintenance and purging.Troubleshooting problems reported by users and escalating issues to the IT.  Oversee media pushed into studio playback servers.Provide training to end users on our Digital media systems and workflow tools.Monitor video and audio of live signals for quality control.Access and Control Cellular Bonded Newsgathering tools (a.k.a. “Backpacks)Route LIVE and video feedsEdit content e.g., blurred faces, pictures on background, audio bleeps, vignettes, etc.Working with editors / photographers on getting their media in and out of our edit systemsContinually analyze current workflows looking for efficiencies.Write technical sop documents as needed.
