Key to this role will be guiding the appropriate integration of AI into practice.You’ll take the lead on major pursuits, manage and expand a talented engineering team, and work directly with high-profile clients — including major U.S. airport and transportation authorities, research/science, higher education clients and federal agencies.Why Join Us?Leadership role — Build and lead your own team, with support from the executive level and peers.Work that matters — Design systems for complex, high-impact infrastructureGrowth and visibility — Drive strategy, win major work, and grow with us.Collaboration — Partner with leading technical experts and business strategists across architecture and engineering disciplines.Innovation — Help deliver projects that focus on utilizing AI for efficiency.               electrification, and innovative design.What You’ll Do:The MEP Manager will oversee team operations, support staff development, and serve as a technical lead contributing to project delivery and client support.Lead and manage AECOM’s MEP Engineering operations in Philadelphia, with an emphasis on team growth and performance.Oversee and grow the Mechanical (HVAC), Electrical, and Fire Protection departments, including mentoring staff and managing project delivery.Develop and execute a strategy to add engineering staff to build a thriving local MEP team.Drive major project pursuits — both stand-alone MEP/FP work and as part of larger multi-discipline teams.Collaborate with other AECOM offices and business lines to optimize project staffing and delivery.Act as technical leader and quality reviewer, ensuring consistent, high-caliber output.Serve as design manager on complex projects with significant engineering scope working closely with project managers to deliver high quality documents.Lead interdisciplinary coordination/quality reviews and ensure engineering standards are met.Guide team members in their work, assigning tasks and supporting their professional development.Manage forecasting, resource planning, and staff performance, including goal-setting and annual reviews for leads of each MEP department.Represent AECOM to clients, participate in interviews, and help craft winning proposals.Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and best practicesThis is a hybrid leadership role in which the manager will supervise staff and contribute directly to technical deliverables.
