This includes all activities associated with the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of approximately 2,500 vehicles and equipment.Responsibilities
Responsible for the direction and oversight of all Pennsylvania PPL fleet Includes establishment of standards that address corporate and client requirements at competitive costs. Currently addresses approximately fifty-two categories of like vehicles and equipment. Directs and monitors ongoing economic analysis to provide a complete competitive fleet operation.
Responsible for all requirements addressing fleet acquisition and disposal Provides direction and oversight with establishing and negotiating vendor resources. Oversees department internal/external activities and Procurement Department negotiations to ensure PPL obtains competitive contracts that provide the best value.
Responsible for the direction and management of all Transportation maintenance Oversees the preparation of operating and payroll budgets in conjunction with planning and forecasting personnel and maintenance facility requirements to address ongoing fleet requirements. Provides direction to continually utilize the most competitive resource available.
Responsible for direction and management of all Transportation labor relations and human resource Activities include administration.

Responsible for resolution of all fleet issues regarding state and federal government regulations and mandates. Oversees activities addressing vehicle code, ANSI, OSHA, DOT, DOE, EPACT and vehicle state inspection.
Responsible for establishing Safety policy and direction that creates a safe environment for the workforce and operation of the fleet. Directs and monitors all activities to achieve established expectations.
If applicable, in-person supervision of employees to ensure compliance with FLSA wage and hour issues as well as to monitor compliance with safety rules.
All positions in which driving is an essential function of the job, regardless if the job code is marked safety sensitive or not, will also be included as safety sensitive.
The company reserves the right to determine if this position will be assigned to work on-site, remotely, or a combination of both. Assigned work location may change. In the case of remote work, physical presence in the office/on-site may be required to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.

This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or five (5) years' experience in fleet maintenance or equipment operations.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a leadership role.
Experience in governmental regulatory compliance
Valid Driver's License required

Automotive Management with demonstrated leadership experience
